Michele Glenn, daughter of Jim and Florence Moes Glenn, married Carl Bartlett on July 31, 2004, in Granby, Colorado. Granddaughter of Anton and Dorothy Moes.

Marie Moes & Tony OlingerMarie Moes of Osmond, NE and Tony Olinger of Emery, SD, were united in marriage on August 9 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, SD. Father David Desmond was the officiant for the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Brian and Jolene Moes of Osmond and Jerry and Suzy Olinger of Emery, SD. Grandparents of the Bride are Wayne and LaVon Moes of Osmond and Mary Phyllis Schulte of Jefferson, SD. Grandparents of the Groom are Betty Osterloo and Anthony Olinger, both of Emery. Great-granddaughter of Anton and Dorothy Moes.

The guest book was attended by Shawn and Pat Murtha of Mitchell, SD, uncle and aunt of the Groom. Flowers were pinned on the wedding party by Mary Olinger of Sioux Falls, aunt of the Groom, and Jayne Heermann of Pilger, aunt of the Bride. The Bride’s uncle, Wayne Heermann of Pilger, and his daughter, Jennifer, were the videographers for both the ceremony and the reception.

The Maid of Honor was Emilie Hoffman of DesMoines, IA, friend of the Bride. Bridesmaids were Darnell Schuettler of Lincoln, Kristen Brandt of Brookings, SD, Sunniva Aunøien of Trondheim, Norway, all friends of the Bride and Kari Olinger of Emery, sister of the Groom. The Jr. Bridesmaid was Emma Feldman of Mitchell and the Flower Girl was Ally Osterloo of Hurley, SD, both cousins of the Groom. Personal attendants were Robin Fauth of Emery and Megan Malde of Sioux Falls, both friends of the Bride.

The Best Man was Steve Olinger of Sioux Falls, brother of the Groom. Groomsmen were Jordan Terveen of Madison, SD, Nate McCormick of Kearney, Mike Shay of Fort Smith, AR, all friends of the Groom, and Chad Moes of Omaha, brother of the Bride. The Jr. Groomsmen were Jordan and Tyler Moes of Osmond, brothers of the Bride and the Ring Bearer was Spencer Moes of Omaha, cousin of the Bride. Ushers were Bryce Roskens of Sioux Falls, Keith Hoffman of Emery, both friends of the Groom, and Jesse Kumm of Phoenix, AZ, friend of the Bride.

The Bride’s dress was a one-piece strapless gown with A-line skirt and chapel length train. The bodice laced up in the back and had a silver satin contrast band adorned with embroidery and Swarovski crystals. This same design was repeated along the hemline of the skirt. The veil, which was about waist-length, consisted of two-layers that were each trimmed with a thin satin ribon. The Bride’s bouquet was a mixture of lavender and purple freesia, misty blue, purple statice, lavender and pink phlox, and pink tulips all arranged in a silver clutch holder.

Amy Moes of Osmond, aunt of the Bride, was both the vocalist and cantor for the ceremony. Emilie Hoffman, the Maid of Honor, was the violinist and was accompanied by Leah Kooren of Sioux Falls on the piano. Ron Schallenkamp of Sioux Falls, Director of Music at the Cathedral, was the organist for the ceremony. Lectors were Brian Olinger of Emery, cousin of the Groom and Nicole Johansen of Omaha, cousin of the Bride. Servers assisting Father Desmond during the Mass were Robert and Charlie Olinger of Emery, cousins of the Groom.

Near the alter were four long stemmed candles in memory of George Schulte, Grandfather of the Bride, Jason Moes infant brother of the Bride, Eleanor Olinger, Grandmother of the Groom, and Byron Osterloo, Grandfather of the Groom.

Wedding favors were handed out to the guests after the ceremony by Erica Johansen of Battle Creek, Emma Heermann of Pilger, Trent Moes of McLean, and Jacob Curran of Jefferson, SD, all cousins of the Bride.

A reception followed at The Oaks in Sioux Falls. It was hosted by Amy and Mark Moes of Osmond, aunt and uncle of the Bride, and Kenny and Karla Olinger of Emery, aunt and uncle of the Groom. The wedding cake was cut but Jeanice Johansen of Battle Creek, aunt and godmother of the Bride and Jane Prouty of Yankton, SD, aunt and godmother of the Groom. The Bride and Groom were surprised by their parents with a beautiful ice sculpture and an arrangement of dozens of pictures from their childhood.

The Bride, a 1999 graduate of Osmond High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, Management Information Systems, and Philosophy from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 2003. She is currently employed as a Commercial Program Underwriter by Federated Insurance in Owatonna, MN.

The Groom, a 1999 graduate of Emery High School, earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nuclear Medicine from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls in 2002. He is currently employed as a P.E.T. Technologist by DMS Imaging in Minneapolis, MN.

The happy couple is at home in Owatonna, MN and they are planning a honeymoon for this winter.

T.J. Moes and Amy Willbanks were married on October 4, 2003, in Waco, Texas. T.J. is the son of Don & Pam Moes. Grandson of Anton Moes. Check back later for a wedding photo.
